Regal Tip Names New Australian Distributor
National Music has recently been named the exclusive distributor for Regal Tip products in Australia. According to Calato Mfg. International Sales Manager, Sharon Schaal, National Music is a customer-focused company that prefers to partner with innovative, customer-oriented companies, making the alliance with Regal Tip a natural fit.
Established over 25 years ago, National Music has grown to have an extensive distribution network, with both in-house and outside sales forces which cater to retail outlets of all sizes.
Regal Tip is one of the world’s most well-respected manufacturers of percussion products, specializing in drumsticks and brushes, and a wide range of percussion accessories. Known for its quality and innovation, founder and drummer Joe Calato introduced the nylon tip to the world in 1958.
Modern Drummer has also credited Joe with being responsible for the quality of drumsticks on the market as he was the first manufacturer to match and pair sticks and finish them with a special 3 step process, known as the P.E.F. finish, improving grip and performance. The company then went on to improve the design and quality of brushes on the market, which is why Regal Tip brushes remain the most-asked for drum brushes in the world.
Most recently Regal Tip introduced a new nylon tip called E-series, which offers the durability of nylon… but the warmer, darker sound of wood. The company continues to innovate and operate under the supervision of the Calato family. All products are manufactured at its facility in Niagara Falls, NY.
