Nathaniel Andrew

Nathaniel Andrew is a distinguished internationally recognised musician, performer, and music educator. With an extensive career of more than 20 years in the industry, he continues to demonstrate proficiency as a bassist, guitarist, and vocalist across a diverse spectrum of musical genres. Andrew's reputation as a music educator is well-established as an instrumental tutor and lecturer within universities and TAFE institutions reflecting his dedication to nurturing the next generation of musicians

A protégé of the legendary Bootsy Collins, Andrew's international performances include opening for celebrated artists such as Jasmine Sullivan, Robin Thicke, The O’Jays, and Anita Baker. He also collaborates regularly with prominent Australian music artists as a freelance instrumentalist and performs regularly across the national music scene. He is also a Yamaha Artist and is sponsored by MarkBass.

As the music director for many acclaimed productions including "The Sapphires," Andrew has proven his capability in leadership and creative direction. Andrew's need for versatility across many genres of music, he relies on his strings being able to handle an array of technical approaches while still being able to produce a consistent and reliable tone across the range of the instrument.
